Last week marked one month for us! Even though there’s a bunch of stuff we can’t do , we’re still having a good time exploring and eating. The biggest thing we’ve been doing these past few weeks is looking for a house. I’ve been visiting them with realtors and taking pictures for Jackie since getting around with the kids is kind of a pain (Most cars the realtors are using are too small for the whole family) We think we’ve found a winner but haven’t officially done any paperwork. We’ll definitely show you once we get a place!
Other than house hunting, there hasn’t been much going on. Jackie has been taking the kids to the park in conjunction with grocery shopping trips, and I’m finally going to the office. I did go to Nobi Beach while out house hunting, and that place is really cool. Not much sand to speak of, but still some good views.
Our favorite food this week has definitely been this Italian pizza place a few blocks away. I’d share some photos, but we ate it way too fast and kind of forgot about taking them. I did enjoy a beer outside while waiting for my takeout though.
Meals in general have been fun here. The boys don’t always like the food as much as we do, but it’s enjoyable to try new things with them.
We also checked out the Toy’s-R-Us nearby while out looking for hiking shoes for Jackie. It was a little surreal being in one again since I haven’t even seen one in the States in years. Toys are expensive though! We probably won’t go there too often since it got pretty annoying telling Jeffrey “no” to every other toy on the shelf. Don’t worry, he didn’t leave empty-handed.
We also got out some water colors for Jeffrey to play with and he created some pretty cool paintings! He was pretty proud of them.
