These pictures are from some fun we had earlier in the summer, but I’m just now getting around to posting them. Better late than never!
Poppies at Kurihama Flower Park
In May, the poppies were blooming at Kurihama Flower Park. This is the same park we visited in January with the Godzilla, but this time they had flowers! Along with the poppies, they also had some hydrangeas blooming. We spent some time walking/running through the poppy field and then hiked up to the playground area and had some fun playing and eating some ice cream.
So cute!
Irises at Yokosuka Iris Garden
In June, we went back to the Yokosuka Iris Garden to see the irises in bloom. They also had hydrangeas blooming.
Wisteria tree, blooms are gone
Hamagin Space Science Center
We took a field trip to a Space Science Museum that was geared towards kids. It was so cool and interactive. The boys loved playing here. It was difficult to get them to move from one activity to another because they were having so much fun with each activity. Thankfully we went with a friend and her slightly older kids who helped me keep track of my two.
A few other things we’ve been up to…
-eating (we hope to make a post about food soon)
-Jeffrey took some swim lessons that he really enjoyed
-we’ve done lots of time at various parks
-we continued arranging our house
-we’ve gone to the beach
-I’ve attempted taking the boys to the pool (very difficult going without Taylor’s help, Jon hates water)
-I turned 30
-we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary
-I started running again and ran my my first 5K in probably 6 years
-Taylor is getting swoll at a Japanese Gold’s Gym (get those gains!)
-Jeffrey went to a baseball camp, he loved it so we signed him up for some more sports camps in the fall
-Taylor is taking a Japanese conversation class and learning kanji
-we toured some Japanese yochiens (preschools) and found one for Jeffrey, he starts in September!
